Worship

Worship is what we were created to do

The choice to live our life in such a way that it gives all credit to God. While we do have a Sunday morning worship service where we publicly worship God through song and other formats, we believe that we must also worship God with our actions in our day to day lives.

Discipleship

Discipleship is the process of growing closer to God.

The most effective way to do this is by having a mentor to guide you in the journey. We believe in intentional relationships that help us to be more Christ like. One of the many ways we accomplish discipleships is by  meeting in Small Groups. Small groups are people from First Assembly that meet together with the purpose of learning about God and community.

Evangelism

Evangelism is telling people about Jesus Christ.

We believe that part of following God is to tell people of his redemptive power. To do this, we reach out to the community and support missionaries through out the world. There are many ways this is accomplished. The first and most important place to tell people about God is in your home and work place. Oftentimes the most important witness of Gods change is the Christian character we show in our lives to others.

Communion is the fellowshipping of believers. This is a time when we come together in worship. Sometimes this is during our worship gatherings when we partake in Holy Communion but other times it through hanging out and having dinner. When we spend time together it allows us to see how other people live their life for God, and we can model that in our own lives
